The Right to internal Reservations
WHAT WAS AMBEDKAR'S STAND ON THIS ISSUE?
...In his speech on 20.07.1927 in Pune, Ambedkar mentioned that when the accusation was made that the "Mahar" community was monopolising all welfare schemes, he had appointed a famous cricketer, P Balu, who belonged to the "Samaar" community, to the Mumbai corporation. As a pinnacle of his statement, Ambedkar announced that he was prepared to develop blood relations with the "Mang" community.
During the conference that took place in Dadar on 02.06.1936. Ambedkar expressed that there was no difference between the "Mahar" and "Mang", who both belong to the scheduled caste community and that he was willing to offer the 15 seats reserved for the "Mahars" to the "Mangs" as internal reservations.
