திராவிட இயக்க வரலாறு - முரசொலி மாறன் - அண்ணாவின் கடிதம்

"... I belong to the Dravidian stock. I am proud to call myself a Dravidian. That does not mean that I am against a Bengali or a Maharashtrian or a Gujarati. As Robert Burns has stated, "A man is a man for all that.” I say that I belong to the Dravidian stock and that is only because I consider that the Dravidians have got something concrete, something distinct, something different to offer to the nation at large."

"நான் திராவிட மரபு வழிப் பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்தவன். நான் என்னைத் திராவிடன் என்று சொல்லிக் கொள்வதில் பெருமையடைகிறேன். இதற்குப் பொருள் நான் ஒரு வங்காளிக்கோ அல்லது மராட்டியனுக்கோ அல்லது குஜராத்திக்கோ , எதிரானவன் என்பதல்ல. ராபர்ட் பேர்ன்ஸ் குறிப்பிடுவது போல, "என்னவாக இருந்தாலும் மனிதன் மனிதன்தான்." திராவிடர்களிடம் திண்ணியமானதும், தனித்தன்மை பெற்றதும், வித்யாசமானதுமான ஒன்று நாட்டிற்கு வழங்குவதற்கு இருக்கிறது என்பதுதான் நான் திராவிடன் என்று சொல்லிக் கொள்வதற்கான ஒரே காரணமாகும்."
