The necessity of scientific temper

How to transform our society into a real rational society? The fitting and proper answer is to promote scientific temper, the spirit of enquiry, humanism and self-respect, among all human beings.

How to humanise the 'human beings' is a very pertinent and formidable question.

The study of science alone would not ensure this and guarantee in our society, because study is one thing, following scientific temper is another. There is always a dichotomy in our life.

Rationalism- which is the result of scientific temper is nothing but the annihilation of dubious modes of thought and action. It does not repudiate the basic truths. It is unfortunate that many of the scientists who are in charge of launching rockets in space chain their minds with superstitious beliefs and practices.

Promotion of scientific temper is the only light to dispel the darkness of our people and liberate them from their abysmal ignorance which leads to intolerance, and vile actions.
